Safeguarding Notice
Children's safety matters to us. Please read this so you understand what Covey does — and, importantly, what it doesn't.
What Covey is — and isn't
Covey is a directory that helps parents find children's clubs and activities. Covey does not run the clubs, supervise sessions, or employ the people who do. Responsibility for the safety and conduct of any activity rests with the provider that runs it.
How listings are checked
Please treat listings with the same care you would any new activity for your child:
- Many listings are auto-discovered from public sources and are unclaimed and unverified until a provider claims them — details may be incomplete or out of date.
- A "Verified" label means a provider has claimed the listing and passed the checks available to us (which may include reviewing an uploaded DBS certificate — see our Privacy Policy). It is not a guarantee that a club, its staff, or its premises are safe.
- Whatever a listing says, do your own checks — visit, ask about DBS/safeguarding, ratios, insurance and qualifications, and trust your judgement.
Reporting a concern
If something on Covey worries you — a misleading listing, or an operator's conduct — please tell us at privacy@mycovey.com and we'll look into it and take appropriate action, which may include removing a listing.
If a child is in immediate danger, or you have an urgent safeguarding concern, contact the police on 999 (or 101 for non-emergencies). You can also contact the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000. Covey is a directory and cannot respond to emergencies.
Operator responsibilities
Providers listing on Covey are responsible for their own safeguarding, DBS checks, insurance and legal compliance, and must follow our Acceptable Use Policy.
